PARKING


Gander International Airport’s parking structure is divided into metered and paid lot sections. All parking lots are surface lots (open air) and are security patrolled 24-hours a day by the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. Metered parking rates are $1 per 30 minutes. A minimum purchase of $1 is required. The meters accept coins only.

Rates are capped to a maximum of $35.00 per week and $65 per month.

Yearly parking cards are available for frequent flyers at a reduced rate of $460 + taxes. For further information, phone 709-256-6671.

Clearly marked parking for persons with disabilities is located in the parking areas. Signage adjacent to the parking spaces will assist you in locating the spaces. Only those with appropriate license plates or temporary permits are permitted to utilize these spaces. Parking regulations governing disability spaces are strictly enforced.

RENTAL CARS FOR PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES


A limited number of accessible vehicles that can accommodate wheelchairs and are fitted with hand controls are available for rent. Customers are asked to make arrangements at least 48 hours in advance with their car rental agency at the contact numbers above.

ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION


Please note: There is no accessible ground transportation available at the airport for persons using larger mobility aids, such as power wheelchairs or scooters. However, other mobility aids, such as folding wheelchairs and walkers, can go in the trunk of any taxi, which means no special accessible taxi is required.

A wheelchair accessible transit bus is available. However, passengers are required to arrange for this service at least 48 hours in advance by contacting DRL at 1-888-263-1852.
