INTERNATIONAL AVIATION
YQX offers a full range of facilities to make your technical stop as productive and comfortable as possible.
INTERNATIONAL CREW LOUNGE
You are invited to use our International Crew Lounge during our technical stop. This facility provides a private lounge and washroom facilities for your crew members to relax and freshen up. Complimentary fresh coffee and snacks are available. The lounge has private telephone facilities, a secure fax line, television and day beds so you can recharge as you refuel.

IN-TRANSIT FACILITY
Our international in-transit facility allows your passengers to disembark and return without any delay to the flight. Our in-transit facilities are completely sterile to international passengers and no additional screening or customs examination is required. The transit lounge can accommodate 800 people comfortably. The passengers can simply disembark, enter the lounge, eat, relax, shop duty free and stretch their legs. Passenger airlines using Gander as a technical stop are not charged terminal user fees. A quick stop which doesn't impede arrival time will go a long ways toward a healthier, more satisfied traveler.
Gander international airport has a designated smoking room available for transiting international passengers.
Gander International Airport transited 150,000 international passengers in 2003, and has a core competence in quick throughput.

DISTINGUISHED VISITOR'S LOUNGE
Gander Airport hosts a number of VIPS. Our Distinguished Visitor's VIP lounge offers a private, safe, secure rest area for traveling dignitaries and political leaders. Dignitaries can enjoy food and beverage service, use a complete home office, secure fax line, watch TV, rest and freshen up.

DUTY-FREE SHOPPING
Our duty-free store offers a range of unique Newfoundland and Canadiania souvenirs, Canadian and American tobacco products, imported and domestic liquors and liquers, ladies and men's fragrances, an exceptional collection of hand-knitted clothing and chocolates. The duty-free shop is always open when international flights allow passengers to disembark during fuel stops. We encourage pilots to ask about our special Pilot's Perks complimentary gifts.

CANADA BORDER SERVICES AGENCY
Gander International Airport has a full-complement of customs officers and is a designated international airport which can accommodate an unlimited capacity of international passengers. Our international arrivals and processing areas are designed for safe and efficient throughput and can be set up to handle any number of passengers. Generally, depending on passenger composition, Canada Borders Services Agency at Gander can process 250 passengers in less than an hour. CBSA services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, with no special services charges that may be required at airports without 24/7 coverage.
