Sunwing announces summer schedule at Gander |
(March 5, 2009) Sunwing Airlines as announced it will offer twice
weekly flights between Gander and Toronto this summer. Sunwing’s summer
schedule features Tuesday and Friday departures from June 15-September 15.
“This is the third year Sunwing has offered this schedule and the airline is
fast becoming a welcome summer fixture,” said Gary Vey, President and CEO of
the Gander International Airport Authority. “We are delighted Sunwing will
again offer affordable travel options to Toronto for the peak season for
local residents, Newfoundland expatriates and visitors to Central
Newfoundland.”
To celebrate the launch of the summer schedule, early bird pricing includes
one way fares beginning as low as $149.
All flights are on the carrier’s state-of-the-art Boeing 737s and include a
generous hot snack, non-alcoholic beverages and in-flight entertainment with
yours-to-keep headsets, all at no extra charge.
New this year on the domestic routes will be Sunwing’s Elite Plus service,
which offers travelers the benefits of advance seat selection, extra-legroom
seats, priority check-in, advance boarding service and a 30 kg baggage
allowance – all for just $35 each way.
For those Central Newfoundland residents looking to defrost in the Dominican
Republic this winter, Sunwing Vacations is also offering all inclusive
holidays in Punta Cana with Thursday departures from Gander between March
26-May 11.
