Sunwing takes wing at Gander this summer |
Sunwing Airlines has announced it will offer twice weekly flights between Gander and Toronto this summer.
Sunwing will offer Tuesday and Friday departures on its Boeing Next Generation 737-800 jet. The Gander flights are part of the company's coast-to-coast domestic program with a focus on secondary urban markets in Ontario, B.C. and Atlantic Canada.
"We are delighted that Sunwing will again offer affordable travel options for the peak summer season," said Gary Vey, President and CEO of the Gander International Airport Authority. "Sunwing has carved a reputation for an exceptional standard of service and passenger feedback has been very positive. We are especially pleased that Sunwing has extended the duration of its service, beginning June 1 right through until the end of the tourism shoulder season in October. This Toronto service is exciting news for the people of Central Newfoundland and particularly our tourism industry."

Sunwing Airlines and Sunwing Vacations are also offering Friday departures to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic from March 23-May 11.
