The Gander International Airport Authority will host its Annual Public Meeting at Hotel Gander's Salon B, Tuesday, April 18 at 2 p.m.
Gary Vey, President and CEO, said the meeting provides an opportunity to reconnect with the community, reflect on the year behind and provide a forecast of the year to come.
"Gander International Airport had a relatively strong 2005 that held both success and challenge; no different than any year in our proud 68 year history. International traffic was exceptional, while the domestic market had its challenges," Mr. Vey stated. "In all, we are collectively pleased with our progress."
The Gander International Airport Authority is the not-for-profit organization created in 1996 to manage operations at Gander International Airport (CYQX). The airport plays a key role in the economic and community development of the Town of Gander and the Central Newfoundland Region.
